Office is in a mini-mall Established: 1974 (day care); 1998 (family resource centre) Clientele: Nine surrounding communities. East Preston is major community. Are user fees charged? Yes, for the day care only. No charge for the resource centre. Any eligibility requirements? No. Major Funder: Department of Community Services, HRDC funding, United Way of Halifax Region Other Funders: Community Health board, donations, grants Annual Operating Budget (range): $500,000 - $1,000,000 Best Practices: Very multi-cultural, have always offered integrated services, highly recognized nationally Future Program Development: Wellness clinic for men Lending library and toy library (currently don't have space for one but have plans to expand) Strengthen what they already have Additional Information: Executive Director has 30 years of service and has been recognized with a number of honours including the Order of Canada
