  • working with children
  • Board development and Board management (had great success with Boards)
  • proposal writing/accessing funds
  • home visiting (with daycare providers & with moms not ready to come to centre)
  • bullying programs
Centre has been facilitating parent education programs for over two decades.  As well, they have done lots of work with parents and mostly children (ages 6-12) on bullying issues. Effective January 2005, funding has been secured from the Community Mobilization Crime Prevention program to offer anti-violence programs once again for children and families.

Evaluations have demonstrated that the centre is a non-threatening, welcoming environment. Participants feel supported and respected for the capacities they bring. Participant involvement/management reinforces ownership.
